As Eric Schmidt plans his transition from Google’s chief executive into a role has a greater focus on government outreach, ardent Google critic and privacy advocate Consumer Watchdog has found a not-so-friendly way to welcome him to Washington.

After airing a video of Schmidt as a creepy ice cream truck driver in Times Square last year, Consumer Watchdog is at it again, this time with a video featuring Schmidt as a lunatic witness at a Senate hearing.

“We know where you are, we know where you’ve been, we can more or less tell what you’re thinking about,” he tells a senator questioning him during the hearing.

The video aims to critique what Consumer Watchdog sees as a failure by Congress to investigate Google’s Wi-Fi privacy breach, referred to by critics as the company’s “wi-spy” initiative. Google had collected private user data traveling over unencrypted Wi-Fi networks, an act that the company said was accidental.

Consumer Watchdog also spoke out earlier this week to call for an investigation into the company.

Schmidt’s role will be labeled executive chairman, and he is expected to spend more time on White House, agency and congressional outreach. The video is below.
